Hong Kong’s success in attracting talent has created strong demand for international education, and our secondary division expansion reflects our commitment to supporting the city’s growing talent community with globally connected, high-quality British education.

Hong Kong’s proactive talent attraction schemes drive the school’s growth, meeting surging demand for high-quality international education

Founded in 2021, Oxbridge British School, a British curriculum school in Hong Kong teaching the Cambridge International Curriculum, has expanded into a full primary and secondary through-train for students aged 5 to 18, a strategic expansion responding to the growing demand for premium British curriculum education.

Hong Kong’s Talent Momentum Drives Educational Demand

“The growing demand we’re seeing is underpinned by Hong Kong’s highly effective talent attraction schemes and the steady return of expat families. This aligns perfectly with Hong Kong rising to first in Asia in the International Institute for Management Development’s 2025 World Talent Ranking,” said John Shooter, Founding Principal at Oxbridge British School. By late 2025, Hong Kong’s robust talent schemes have drawn around 260,000 professionals. “With more accompanying families and school-aged children arriving, there is a clear and notable demand for international education,” he added.

This demand is further amplified as families seek curricula bridging global standards and local accessibility. “Hong Kong’s status as a global talent hub makes it the ideal location for our school’s expansion. Its strategic position connecting the Chinese Mainland and the world provides a suitable environment for delivering high-quality British education to diverse students,” he noted.

Tailored Excellence for a Diverse Student Community

With over 24 nationalities among its student body, the school’s primary and secondary divisions offer the full Cambridge International Curriculum (IGCSE to A Level) with small class sizes for personalised learning. It offers annual UK study trips and exchanges as well to nurture global competence. “With Hong Kong as our headquarters, we leverage InvestHK’s network to build partnerships aligned with Hong Kong’s education goals,” said Shooter.
