Hong Kong provides the strategic foundation we need to build a global cybersecurity leader. Its connectivity, regulatory environment, and access to talent make it the ideal home for our continued growth.
Nyxlab is a Hong Kong-headquartered cybersecurity firm built on an AI-native foundation. It serves clients across Asia Pacific in sectors including financial services, luxury retail, manufacturing, hospitality, and real estate.
“Our differentiated approach lies in embedding AI across every layer of our cybersecurity services, rather than treating AI as a standalone feature,” said Kok-Tin Gan, Co-founder and CEO of Nyxlab.
“Our 24/7 Security Operations Centre integrates an intelligent AI layer that filters false positives, enhances detection accuracy, and accelerates incident response. These same capabilities power advanced penetration testing through realistic attack simulations, enable predictive threat intelligence, and help clients secure their own AI-driven systems.”
Hong Kong: Powering Regional and Global Expansion
Nyxlab selected Hong Kong as its global headquarters for its position as an international financial centre and its concentration of highly regulated industries requiring advanced cybersecurity solutions.
Gan stated, “Hong Kong’s regulatory environment is moving decisively in our direction. The Hong Kong Monetary Authority’s Cybersecurity Fortification Initiative 2.0, the Securities and Futures Commission and Insurance Authority’s expectations on operational resilience, and the Protection of Critical Infrastructures (Computer Systems) Ordinance are collectively elevating cyber resilience standards across the board. Hong Kong’s rule of law, free flow of information, deep talent pool, and strategic role as a gateway to the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area make it theideal base for regional and global expansion.”
Scaling Talent and Operations
Nyxlab’s Hong Kong office serves as its global headquarters, housing leadership and client-facing teams while directing operations across Macao and Chengdu. “We employ over 40 professionals, with 13 based in Hong Kong, and are planning to nearly double our local headcount within the next 12 months,” Gan said.
“InvestHK has supported us from initial setup through expansion, providing practical guidance on company establishment, access to funding opportunities, and connections to Hong Kong’s innovation ecosystem, including flagship events such as the Hong Kong FinTech Week x StartmeupHK Festival.”
