Artificial Intelligent Interconnection Technology Co., Ltd. (AICT), a leading provider of High-Precision AI (HAI) technology, is ramping up its investment in Hong Kong. This move underscores the company’s confidence in the city’s strategic role as a springboard for international expansion. Having filed for a Hong Kong IPO in late October last year, AICT aims to be a pioneer in the “High-Precision AI” sector while accelerating its advancements in spatial intelligence.
In an interview with Ta Kung Pao, CEO Xiang Yanping stated that the company will grow internationally by adapting its proven AI products and solutions for new markets. Within the next three to five years, AICT aims to achieve a 50/50 revenue split between the Chinese Mainland and overseas markets.
As a high-tech enterprise specialising in HAI, AICT is a premier provider of spatial intelligence solutions in China. Its cutting-edge technologies are widely deployed across various applications, including smart roads, autonomous driving, smart parking, intelligent charging, smart highways, low-altitude mobility, smart manufacturing, and smart homes.
Xiang emphasised the company’s long-standing focus on the “AI + Transportation” sector, which aims to enhance traffic management efficiency and safety while providing highly convenient mobility services to drivers. To date, AICT has successfully commercialised its solutions in over 70 cities across China and is actively expanding its presence in overseas markets, including Southeast Asia and the Middle East.
Overseas Contracts Channelled Through Hong Kong Subsidiary
Since 2024, AICT has positioned Hong Kong as its strategic springboard for going global, advancing plans to establish an international business and R&D hub in the city. The company has carried out technical cooperation, established joint laboratories and forged strategic partnerships with institutions like the University of Hong Kong and City University of Hong Kong. Furthermore, AICT has been selected as one of the key enterprises in the fourth batch introduced by the HKSAR Government.
Xiang highlighted Hong Kong’s unparalleled advantages in capital access, legal infrastructure, and financial services, which facilitate seamless cross-border business engagements with different countries. “All our overseas contracts are now executed through our Hong Kong subsidiary, which has brought tremendous convenience to our business operations,” he noted.
He also credited InvestHK for its substantial support during the company’s establishment in the city, providing invaluable assistance in company registration, introductions to overseas clients, and connections with investment institutions. Looking ahead, AICT plans to deepen its collaboration with Hong Kong government bodies, enterprises, industry associations, and universities. By strengthening its technological partnerships and business footprint, AICT aims to empower the comprehensive development and construction of Hong Kong’s smart city through its HAI capabilities.
“Our primary objective in going global is to take the AI products and solutions we have refined in the Chinese Mainland over the past decade and adapt them for overseas markets, filling the technological gaps in those regions,” Xiang explained.
He added that China is already at the global forefront of AI deployment and application. Exporting these proven solutions not only drives further product development and enhances adaptability across diverse, complex environments, but also optimises costs and boosts revenue. Simultaneously, it allows target countries or regions to bypass the trial-and-error phases of early development, accelerating the intelligent transformation of their local transport networks.
Partnering with Local AI Players to Navigate Market Entry
As outlined in its prospectus, AICT plans to use its Hong Kong operations as a testing ground for its broader international strategy. Supported by in-depth market research, the company intends to partner with leading local AI firms in target markets. This collaborative approach will ensure AICT stays attuned to evolving needs of potential customers in the local market and can tailor its market entry strategies and product offerings accordingly.
To support its global expansion, AICT established a Global Technology Services (GTS) Centre in August 2025. This centre is tasked with delivering spatial intelligence solutions worldwide and providing comprehensive, end-to-end services tailored to specific local market requirements.
The company noted that the GTS Centre lays a solid foundation for acquiring and serving international clients, placing AICT in an advantageous position to capture emerging global opportunities.
