Hong Kong remains a powerhouse for global logistics. Our expanded facilities and focus on automation here are key to driving innovation and fostering sustainable trade for the future.

DSV is a global transport and logistics leader dedicated to keeping supply chains flowing seamlessly worldwide. Following its integration with Schenker, the company has nearly doubled in size, now employing close to 160,000 people across more than 90 countries. Sustainability is central to its strategy, with a clear commitment to achieving net-zero emissions by 2050.

Strategic Hub Powering Regional Connectivity

According to Jakob Jeppesen, CEO of Air & Sea in Asia Pacific at DSV, the company’s growth in Hong Kong was propelled by the recent Schenker integration, doubling its local footprint and expanding the workforce to

over 1,000 employees. “Hong Kong’s world-class infrastructure, free port status, and strategic proximity to the Chinese Mainland make it an ideal logistics gateway for Asia-Pacific,” he said.

DSV now operates 14 facilities across Hong Kong, including 11 contract logistics sites and three air and sea freight centres. Mr Jeppesen added that the sites were selected for their excellent connectivity to major terminals and ports, and for capacity to support future expansion. He highlighted that DSV is investing in AI and robotics to drive automation and efficiency — innovations that will enhance productivity and reinforce Hong Kong’s role as a logistics innovation hub, especially in high-value and temperature-sensitive sectors.

Evolving from Local Base to Regional Powerhouse

Jeppesen shared that DSV’s Hong Kong operations have evolved from a local base to a regional headquarters supporting Greater China and Asia Pacific. “We have diversified into multimodal, Less-than-Container Load (LCL) shipping and specialised logistics solutions, including our new cold chain facility in Fanling,” he said. He added that continued investment in infrastructure, technology and talent underpins DSV’s ambitions to deliver reliable, flexible and future-ready supply chain solutions. “Aligned with our Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) validated targets, we are firmly committed to sustainable logistics on the path to net-zero by 2050.”

“InvestHK has been a valuable partner, providing market intelligence and industry connections that have supported DSV’s smooth integration and expansion within Hong Kong’s logistics ecosystem.” said Jeppesen.
