In line with the Department of Justice’s Policy Initiatives 2023 to deepen the mediation culture, the Department of Justice is committed to developing and promoting the wider use of mediation to resolve disputes where appropriate. The Mediation Week is our biennial flagship event to promote mediation in Hong Kong. It offers an excellent opportunity for international distinguished experts to gather together for an insightful sharing of views and experience on the latest development of mediation and dispute resolution with the participants.
This year, under the theme “Mediate First: Bridge Cultures, Build Futures”, the Mediation Week 2024 comprises a range of seminars from 6 May to 9 May 2024 to explore the use of mediation in the areas of school, consumer, workplace and family court disputes. The Mediation Conference 2024 is to be held on 10 May, during which renowned speakers will share their insights on various topical issues on mediation, including “Connecting the Dots: Mediating Across Boundaries in the GBA”, “International Mediation: What Hong Kong has to offer?” and “Bots v Humans? The Future of Mediation”.
