Associate Director-General of Investment Promotion for InvestHK, Dr Jimmy Chiang, welcomed Auntie Anne’s opening. He said, “We are delighted to see Auntie Anne’s opening. It shows the company’s commitment and confidence in Hong Kong’s food and beverage market. We wish Super Fab Foods Ltd and Auntie Anne’s every success and look forward to its expansion in the city and beyond.”
According to Managing Director of Super Fab Foods Ltd, Mr Dhiraj Kundamal, the Hong Kong office serves as a regional office to handle operations within Hong Kong, Macau, and potentially the GBA. He said, “Hong Kong is a global city and one of the easiest places to set up a business. The efficient banking system, skilled labour pool and the ease of controlling multiple supply chain elements due to the city’s global positioning make it an ideal business city.”
He added, “We will be expanding the number of Auntie Anne’s stores within Hong Kong. Eventually, our vision is to scale across multiple brands and locations in Hong Kong and the GBA by blending in local flavours to cater to the East-meets-West culture.”
Founded in 1988, Auntie Anne's started as a humble stand in a Pennsylvania farmer's market and has developed into a globally famous American pretzel chain over the years. Auntie Anne's serves a variety of buttery pretzels and lemonade.
