Applications are invited for the position of Assistant Manager of Business and Talent Attraction / Investment Promotion in the Investment Promotion Unit of the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office (HKETO) in Singapore, one of the four official representative offices of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) Government in ASEAN.
The Investment Promotion Unit of the HKETO in Singapore is part of Invest Hong Kong (InvestHK), which is a department of the HKSAR Government responsible for attracting foreign direct investments to Hong Kong, and facilitating the expansion of Hong Kong enterprises overseas. Being a global financial centre and a key business capital in Asia, Hong Kong is a premier business hub for companies expanding in Asia Pacific and tapping the opportunities from the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and the Belt and Road initiative.
Job Summary
Reporting to the Deputy Head of Business and Talent Attraction / Investment Promotion of the HKETO in Singapore, the Assistant Manager of Business and Talent Attraction / Investment Promotion will be responsible for providing administrative and promotion support to the team. This includes organising investment promotion activities and events, preparing marketing materials, maintaining client database, handling procurement, preparing research reports with the aim of promoting both Hong Kong inward and outward investments in the geographic markets under the purview of the HKETO in Singapore, including Singapore, the Philippines and Vietnam. The ideal candidate should be result-oriented and self-motivated, with strategic thinking and sound interpersonal skills.
Entry Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, preferably in Business Administration, Finance, Economics International Relations or International Marketing & Communications;
- Minimum 2 years full-time post qualification work experience in (i) corporate account relationship management; (ii) marketing and event management; or (iii) investment or trade promotion; or (iv) administrative support;
- Experience of living and/or doing business in Hong Kong would be an asset;
- Proficient in written and spoken English, preferably with the ability of communicating in Chinese (including spoken Cantonese or Putonghua); proficiency in any ASEAN languages (especially Vietnamese or Filipino languages) would be an advantage;
- Good command of computer skills; proficient in Microsoft Office are essential;
- Willing to travel within the area under the purview of the HKETO (Singapore) and to Hong Kong; and
- Eligible to take up employment in Singapore without arrangement of work visa by the employer.
Terms of Appointment
Two-year contract term with the possibility of extension.
Benefits
