China Chengxin (Asia Pacific) Credit Ratings Company Limited (CCXAP) was established in Hong Kong in 2010. In 2012, CCXAP obtained a Type 10 licence (providing credit rating services) from the Securities and Futures Commission of Hong Kong (SFC), becoming the first Chinese credit rating company to operate in the international market.
In 2023, CCXAP was recognised by the Hong Kong Mandatory Provident Fund Schemes Authority as the first approved Chinese credit rating agency. In 2024, CCXAP further achieved a milestone by becoming the first and only Chinese credit rating agency accredited under the Hong Kong Monetary Authority’s “Qualifying Debt Instruments (QDI) Scheme” and the “Green and Sustainable Finance (GSF) Grant Scheme”.
As of March 2025, CCXAP has provided active and publicly available international ratings to over 259 Chinese clients, solidifying its leading position among Chinese credit rating agencies through its professional expertise.
