Founded in 2016, Teochew Bistro has developed into a restaurant chain with over 35 stores across the Mainland. Its dishes have also won numerous culinary awards. Teochew Bistro’s first Hong Kong store was opened in March this year in Shatin.
The Marketing Director of Teochew Bistro, Mr Wang Yinbo, said that the expansion in Hong Kong is part of the brand’s global expansion strategy. By establishing more stores in the city, he hopes to gain local recognition for the brand, and eventually expand globally. He said, “As our slogan says, ‘To bring the authentic Teochew flavours to the world,’ we have always aspired to build a global brand for Teochew cuisine.”
“The market potential and geographical advantage of Hong Kong provide us with a convenient platform for doing business and entering other Asian markets. Various government funding and subsidy programmes also encouraged companies to innovate and expand,” Wang added.
Wang also revealed that the brand is currently recruiting talent to join its marketing and business teams to support its development. Hong Kong's diverse talent pool perfectly meets the needs of its team.
