French bistro group brings authentic Alsatian cuisine to Hong Kong

Breizh Limited group has just opened a second French bistro, Bretzel Bistro Alsacien, in Hong Kong, bringing the cuisine of the Alsace region of France and its mouth-watering tartes flambées to Hong Kong.

The group opened its first restaurant, Bouillon Bistro Parisian, in Sheung Wan in late 2020 and received a very good response from customers. Riding on the success, the group decided to open another bistro, Bretzel Bistro Alsacien, in the same neighbourhood spot to introduce authentic classical dishes from Alsace region and family-owned wineries to the customers in the city.

Its Chef Johan Ducroquet said that, “I have Alsatian roots and we have lived with my wife and sommelier Cristina in Alsace for a while, so when with my partner Gregory Alexandre considered in expand our business we thought, why not to bring to Hong Kong those authentic classical dishes from Alsace. Bretzel is a sort of little brother from Bouillon, we hope that Bretzel will bring to customers the true flavors from this wonderful gastronomic-wine region.”

He added, “Gregory and I have been in Hong Kong for several years and have been amazed for Hong Kong vibes, multiculturality as well as the love that its citizen has for discovering food and wines. It was a natural choice for us to set up here, because not that many cities in the world could propose you this environment and the way to make business in Hong Kong is very simple and efficient.”
