The University of Hong Kong’s Institute for Climate and Carbon Neutrality (ICCN) will host Hong Kong Climate Week (HKCW) 2026 from 26 March to 1 April, uniting policymakers, business leaders, and innovators to accelerate the shift from climate pledges to real-world solutions. The week will commence with a keynote address by Mr Paul Chan Mo-po, Financial Secretary of the Hong Kong SAR, underscoring Hong Kong's continued leadership in advancing global climate action.
Under the theme "From Mitigation to Adaptation: Focusing on Tipping Points, Deploying Concrete Actions," HKCW 2026 will highlight Hong Kong's unique position as both an international financial hub and a gateway to the Chinese Mainland in translating global climate consensus into local implementation through green finance, innovation, and policy mechanisms.
The event features a dual-track approach: high-level Main Stage discussions among senior leaders and investors, alongside citywide side events engaging communities, cultural institutions, innovation hubs, and campuses. This structure ensures climate dialogue leads to inclusive, on-the-ground impact across sectors.
