Overview

The Cell and Gene Therapy (CGT) has achieved revolutionary advancement over the past decade, driving Advanced Therapy Products (ATP) to become a significant therapeutic trend in biomedical innovation. Unlike conventional therapeutic treatments, the development of ATP is subject to various technical challenges arising from technological complexities involved in scientific translation, manufacturing process, and commercialisation of ATP.

For example, ATP production quality must meet the Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standard but at the same time, production cost must properly be managed for wider clinical use. As an international financial centre and innovation hub, Hong Kong is actively building a conducive ecosystem to empower the development and commercialisation of ATP.

Invest Hong Kong will host the half-day forum with the theme "Advanced Therapy Products in Hong Kong and Beyond". The forum aims at bringing together leading scientists, industry leaders, and regulatory authority from around the world to share insights on:

  • Latest ATP research and academic achievement and clinical use;
  • Regulatory pathway related to product registration and market access;
  • Market opportunity by leveraging Hong Kong for cross-regional cooperation.

This forum will also highlight how leading enterprises making use of Hong Kong's unique advantages in cross-boundary clinical collaborations, real-world data applications, and international GMP recognition for global positioning.

If interested in participating, please contact innotech@investhk.gov.hk to register your interest. We will review and confirm as appropriate.
