Invest Hong Kong (InvestHK) is looking for a confident, experienced and enthusiastic applicant to join our Information Technology Team as Deputy Manager, Information Technology. In this role, you will oversee information technology (IT) procurement and administration, supervise and provide customer-centric helpdesk support, and ensure our IT systems remain secure and compliant with Government IT security policies and guidelines.
Duties
- To perform day-to-day IT administrative tasks, including procurement of IT products and professional services, record keeping, user account management and IT infrastructure management;
- To assist in executing IT security audit exercises and to ensure adherence to Government IT security policies and guidelines;
- To supervise and provide customer-focused and results-oriented IT support services to users, including help-desk services and troubleshooting of user problems;
- To perform tasks related to incident handling, problem resolution, and change management; and
- To perform ad hoc duties assigned by supervisors.
(Remarks: Appointee may be required to work in non-office hours or overtime on a need basis.)
Entry Requirements
- Three years of relevant full-time work experience in IT, including at least one year of hands-on experience in managing IT infrastructure and/ or executing IT security-related assignments;
- A Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science or related disciplines from a Hong Kong university, or equivalent;
- Excellent communication and liaison skills;
- Ability to work independently under pressure and meet tight deadlines;
- Strong experience in the following technologies/ products would be advantageous: VMware virtualisation platform and Microsoft Active Directory;
- Experience in the procurement of IT products and professional services would be advantageous;
- Holder of IT related certification(s) would be advantageous, such as VMware Certified Professional (VCP) and Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL);
- Holder of IT security related certification(s) would be advantageous, such as Certified Information Security Professional (CISP; 註冊信息安全專業人員) / Certified Information Security Member (CISM; 註冊信息安全員) from CNITSEC (中國信息安全測評中心); Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) from International Information System Security Certification Consortium (ISC2); and Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) / Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) from Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA); and
- Meet the language proficiency requirements of “Level 2” result in the Use of English paper and “Level 1” result in the Use of Chinese paper in the Common Recruitment Examination (CRE), or equivalent (see Notes (a) to (c)).
Note
- Level 5 or above in Chinese Language of the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSEE) is accepted as equivalent to Level 2 in the Use of Chinese (UC) paper of the CRE. Level 5 or above in English Language of the HKDSEE is accepted as equivalent to Level 2 in the Use of English (UE) paper of the CRE. Level 4 in Chinese Language of the HKDSEE is accepted as equivalent to Level 1 in the UC paper of the CRE.
- Grade C or above in Use of English of the Hong Kong Advanced Level Examination (HKALE) or in English Language of the General Certificate of Education (Advanced Level) (GCE A Level) is accepted as equivalent to Level 2 in the UE paper of the CRE. Grade C or above in Chinese Language and Culture or Chinese Language and Literature of the HKALE is accepted as equivalent to Level 2 in the UC paper of the CRE. Grade D in Chinese Language and Culture or Chinese Language and Literature of the HKALE is accepted as equivalent to Level 1 in the UC paper of the CRE.
- An overall band of 6.5 or above with no subtest score below band 6 obtained in the same sitting in the Academic Module of the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) within the two-year validity period of the test is accepted as equivalent to Level 2 in the UE paper of the CRE. The IELTS test result must be valid on any date during the application period.
Terms of Appointment
Successful applicant will be appointed on non-civil service contract terms for three months and the term will be extended up to an accumulative period of not more than 24 months subject to satisfactory performance and at the discretion of Invest Hong Kong. Under normal circumstances, there will usually be further renewal of contract, subject to the performance and conduct of the applicant, and the service need of the department.
Fringe Benefits
- An end-of-contract gratuity may be granted upon satisfactory completion of the contract. Such gratuity, if granted, plus any contribution made by the Government to a Mandatory Provident Fund (MPF) scheme in respect of the appointee as required by the MPF Schemes Ordinance, will equal 15% of the total basic salary drawn during the contract period; and
- Applicant appointed will be granted 14 days of annual leave and the entitlement of annual leave will be calculated on pro-rata basis for appointment less than 12 months. Other benefits, such as rest days, statutory holidays (or substituted holidays), maternity/ paternity leave, sickness allowance, where appropriate, will be granted mainly in line with the provisions of the Hong Kong Employment Ordinance.
