Senior Vice President, Family Office

Salary: HK$75,620 per month

InvestHK is looking for passionate, high-calibre, result-oriented professionals to join the Global Family Office Team in Hong Kong as Senior Vice Presidents, Family Office.  In this exciting role, you will need to deploy your business development, client servicing and account management skills to make an impact in generating leads and drive client-centric initiatives around customer acquisition, retention and client experience.  If you are driven to help make Hong Kong a leading global hub for family offices (“FOs”), a key policy in the Chief Executive’s 2022 Policy Address, this role represents a unique opportunity to help FOs from overseas and the Mainland set up and expand their presence in Hong Kong. 

The Role
Reporting to the Global Head, Family Office, you will be responsible to contribute to your team’s overall key performance indicators (“KPIs”) and objectives. You will work closely with other Family Office Team members in Hong Kong, in the Mainland and overseas and collaborate with and leverage other sector teams at InvestHK Headquarters, as well as our global network in 33 cities around the world.

You will need to demonstrate: 
(a)    strong track record of business development, generating leads and successfully managing relationships with Ultra-High-Net-Worth-Individuals (UHNWIs) or FOs;
(b)    rich experience in managing client relationships independently and providing solutions to address clients’ needs and issues;
(c)    excellent communication, presentation and public speaking skills to represent InvestHK to speak at different FO related events, seminars or interviews; 
(d)    the ability to be discreet and respectful of UHNWIs' privacy and the ability for them to entrust you in handling their queries and issues;
(e)    ability to manage multiple touchpoints and respond quickly to changes in priorities;
(f)    ability to work in cross-cultural environment and experience in managing needs and dealing with demanding requests from UHNWIs and/or FOs;
(g)    previous experience in collaborating with both internal and external stakeholders including government bodies on event management, client support and outreach programmes; 
(h)    ability to work independently under pressure to meet performance targets and as a team player; and
(i)    willingness to conduct Mainland and international travel.

Duties
(a)    To engage and facilitate target FOs in setting up or expanding their FOs in Hong Kong and deliver high quality services and support, including timely engagement with stakeholders in responding to their enquiries and helping them solve issues arisen;
(b)    To lead and manage client accounts towards achieving pre-set KPIs (in terms of number and quality of the FOs being introduced to Hong Kong and served by InvestHK) within a set timeframe;
(c)    To co-ordinate with industry partners, government bodies and other relevant parties to organise promotional activities/events such as round-tables, seminars, sponsored events and duty visits to promote Hong Kong to be a global hub of FOs, with particular focus on key target markets in the Mainland, ASEAN, the Middle East and other regions;
(d)    Through the activities and events, to generate new leads into the pipeline of target FOs and produce updated information of the activities, including status, targets, feedback in the Customer Relationship Management System to facilitate InvestHK to track the KPIs;
(e)    To work collaboratively with the Family Office Team and to train and guide less experienced team members, as well as constantly update on latest relevant developments and market trends to identify and service client needs with respect to FOs;
(f)    To manage and work with marketing agencies to refresh and update the latest information stored in the dedicated website, pitchbook, and marketing materials specifically developed for FOs; and
(g)    To work with public relations agencies to update social media accounts and post news, articles or events on a regular basis on the FO website.

Entry Requirements  
(a)    Minimum six years of relevant full-time work experience in serving/supporting UHNWIs and/or FOs gained in financial/professional services (preferably private banking and/or FOs);
(b)    A Bachelor's degree from a Hong Kong university or equivalent; a higher degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Law, Accounting or Marketing would be an advantage; and
(c)    Fluency in English, Cantonese and Putonghua is a must.  Fluency in one or more of the languages of the key target markets (i.e. ASEAN, Middle East, Europe) would be an advantage.

Terms of Appointment
Successful applicants will be appointed on non-civil service contract terms for normally 24 months.  Renewal of contract will be subject to the service need of the department and the performance and conduct of the applicant.

Fringe Benefits
(a)    An end-of-contract gratuity may be granted upon satisfactory completion of the contract.  Such gratuity, if granted, plus any contribution made by the Government to a Mandatory Provident Fund (MPF) scheme in respect of the appointee as required by the MPF Schemes Ordinance, will equal 15% of the total basic salary drawn during the contract period; and
(b)    Applicant appointed will be granted 14 days of annual leave.  Other benefits, such as rest days, statutory holidays (or substituted holidays), maternity / paternity leave, sickness allowance, where appropriate, will be granted mainly in line with the provisions of the Hong Kong Employment Ordinance.
