Co-Head of Family Office, Mainland China (based in Shanghai)

Job Summary

The Co-Head of Family Office, Mainland China will be joining the Mainland China team of FamilyOfficeHK at the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office in Shanghai (SHETO) under its Dedicated Team for Attracting Businesses and Talents / Investment Promotion Unit, to help Family Offices from the Mainland set up and expand their presence in Hong Kong. He/She will work closely with the InvestHK global network and the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Offices in major cities around the world. Responsible regions: Guangdong, Fujian, Guangxi, Hainan, Yunnan, Hubei, Hunan, Henan, Jiangxi, Shanxi, Shanghai, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Anhui, and Shandong.

Duties

• Develop and drive marketing plans to promote the intrinsic advantages and the unique position of Hong Kong as a destination of choice for family offices
• Develop and drive engagement plans with industry and local stakeholders to build an effective network and to develop a pipeline of Mainland family office targets
• Generate leads of families/family offices that have interest in setting up presence and grow in Hong Kong, conduct one-on-one surveys and interviews with local family offices in Mainland for in-depth analysis of market trends, and drive client-centric initiatives around customer acquisition
• Proactively co-ordinate with Family Office Team members in Hong Kong, sector teams at InvestHK, industry partners and government bodies to formulate effective outreach programmes and establish and execute a roadmap to develop a conducive family office ecosystem in Hong Kong
• Conduct duty visits in targeted cities in the Mainland
• Maintain proper records of the contacts and leads generated as well as the aforementioned activities via various means including CRM, emails and file record
• Represent FamilyOfficeHK to speak at different family office related events, seminars or interviews
• Perform any other duties as assigned by the senior management in InvestHK Headquarters and SHETO as appropriate

Entry Requirements

• A minimum of 8 years of proven working experience in serving/supporting Ultra-High Net Worth Individuals and/or family offices gained in financial/professional services (preferably private banking and/or family offices) with track record of business development, generating leads and/or successfully managing relationships with UHNWIs or family offices is essential, reference letter(s) from former employer(s) is/are required, (Reference letter should be provided when required)
• Strong relevant business network in the Mainland will be advantageous
• Demonstrated ability to work in cross-cultural environment and experience in dealing with demanding requests from UHNWIs and/or family offices 
• Strong project management skills and adaptability – to manage multiple touchpoints and respond quickly to changes in priorities
• Experienced in managing client relationships independently
• Demonstrated experience in developing and conducting marketing/PR campaign including traditional and digital outreach, and handling media
• Experienced in collaborating with both internal and external stakeholders including government bodies on events management, clients support and outreach program
• Able to work independently as well as with the team under pressure to meet performance targets
• Willing to travel
• Have strong analytic, written and presentation skills
• A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, a higher degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Law, Accounting or Marketing would be an advantage
• Language skills – fluent in written and spoken English and Mandarin

Employment Period: Two years with a probationary period of two months
(A probation review by InvestHK and/or SHETO will take place before the end of the second month of employment, as a reference to the assessment of passing probation bar.)

Monthly Salary

Starting salary from RMB 70,000 to RMB 80,000 gross per month (before tax). Year-end bonus will be granted at the end of the calendar year. Fringe benefits shall be provided according to the Labor Law and other relevant rules and regulations of Shanghai Municipality.
