Summer Intern of Invest Hong Kong

Salary: HK$10,500 per month   
(Ref: SI/01/2020)

Duties

The intern will be required to carry out the following tasks:-

(a)    To assist in collecting, collating and updating information in business opportunities, government policies / initiatives, research / funding support and infrastructure, etc.;
(b)    To assist in identifying companies from around the world which are interested to invest in Hong Kong;
(c)    To assist in developing / updating the contents of marketing, presentation and promotional materials, including websites, videos, various social media platforms, brochures, flyers, booklets and leaflets, etc.;
(d)    To assist in developing and updating of databases on client profiles and cases; and
(e)    To provide administrative support (e.g. preparation of guest lists, invitation letters, logistics and procurement, etc.) to activities / events.

Entry Requirements

The intern should:-

(a)    be currently enrolled in a full-time degree course (or equivalent), preferably in the stream of business, marketing, language, translation, communications, journalism and public relations;
(b)    be proficient in English, Cantonese and Putonghua.  Knowledge in other languages is an advantage;
(c)    have good English and Chinese typing skills; 
(d)    be proficient in the application of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint; and
(e)    experience in marketing and communications or event organisation is an advantage.

Period of Internship

Three months, starting from May/June 2020.

Terms and Conditions of Appointment

Successful applicant will be appointed on non-civil service contract terms. Except otherwise provided in the appointment letter, rest days, statutory holidays (or substituted holidays), sickness allowance, where appropriate, will be granted mainly in line with the provisions of the Hong Kong Employment Ordinance.
