Job Summary
The Regional Head of Family Office, Mainland China will be joining the Mainland China team of FamilyOfficeHK at the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office in Shanghai (SHETO) under its Dedicated Team for Attracting Businesses and Talents / Investment Promotion Unit to promote Hong Kong as a leading global hub and a preferred destination for Family Offices. He/She will be responsible for overseeing the Mainland China team of FamilyOfficeHK and working with the Family Office team in Hong Kong and overseas, as well as collaborating with and leveraging other sector teams at InvestHK Headquarters, and as our global network in 33 cities around the world.
Duties
- Assist Global Head, Family Office to promote Hong Kong as a leading global hub and a preferred destination for Family Offices, develop and implement an integrated investment promotion, marketing and PR strategy to attract family offices from the Mainland to establish a new set-up or a satellite office and/or expand in and via Hong Kong using the FamilyOfficeHK one-stop concierge service platform
- Work on directives from Global Head, Family Office, help drive and achieve Key Performance Indicators and objectives set for FamilyOfficeHK
- Lead the Mainland China Team of FamilyOfficeHK to achieve assigned goals and targets
- Handhold and build the Mainland China Team of FamilyOfficeHK to work on different tasks and projects in order to fulfil objectives set forth
- Help drive the collaboration with InvestHK’s teams in the Mainland and other internal and external partners, develop and implement engagement programmes with key stakeholders to build an effective network and outreach programmes to achieve family office targets and develop an attractive, unique proposition for our clients and service offering
- Drive Hong Kong as the preferred choice for family office, formulate and implement a structured customer experience journey and service excellence framework to enable a first-class client on boarding
- Help drive the upskilling of the team to deliver evolving needs from target audience in areas such as philanthropy, sustainability, disruptive technologies, and art trade but not limited to the above
- Lead in further developing, implementing and attracting leading family offices in the Mainland to the annual flagship global family office conference in Hong Kong and drive a series of impactful events in key target cities in the Mainland to tell the Hong Kong story, attract and engage with family offices and asset owners
- Help manage and monitor the performance of the team, ensure quality financial and operational management, and timely input to Policy Bureaux of the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region
- Maintain proper records of the contacts and leads generated as well as the aforementioned activities via various means including CRM, emails and file records
- Support the Global Head of Family Office, and the Directorate of InvestHK and SHETO on duties and assignments as and when needed
Entry Requirements
The ideal candidate should possess:
- A minimum of 12 years of proven working experience in serving/supporting UHNWIs and/or family offices gained in financial/professional services (preferably private banking and/or family offices) or financial and/or professional services industries (Reference letter should be provided when required)
- A Bachelor's degree or equivalent, a higher degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Law, Accounting or Marketing would be an advantage
- The ability to develop, refine and implement a global strategy and plan to generate leads, drive deep client engagement with Family Offices in target markets in the Mainland
- Proven knowledge and experience in private wealth and Family Office related investment business, customer acquisition, business development and retention
- The ability to leverage your extensive network which is relevant to the ecosystem of Family Office in the Mainland and in Hong Kong
- A track record of successfully collaborating with both internal and external stakeholders, including government bodies and regulators to drive impact and outcomes
- Leadership of high-performing cross-provincialand cross-border teams
- The ability to work independently under pressure, meet targets and objectives, and respond effectively to ad hoc requests
- Strong communication and public speaking skills
- The willingness to conduct regular business development initiatives, and undertake client outreach and travels in the Mainland
- The skills to handle administrative and operational matters
- A good command of both written and spoken Chinese (Putonghua) and in English is a must. Fluency in Cantonese would be an advantage.
Employment Period: Two years with a probationary period of two months
(A probation review by InvestHK and/or SHETO will take place before the end of the second month of employment, as a reference to the assessment of passing probation bar.)
Monthly Salary
Starting from RMB 81,900 to RMB 93,600 gross per month (before tax). Year-end bonus will be granted at the end of the calendar year. Fringe benefits shall be provided according to the Labor Law and other relevant rules and regulations of Shanghai Municipality.
