Manager, Video Production

Salary: HK$46,655 per month

Invest Hong Kong (InvestHK) is looking for an experienced, proactive and enthusiastic applicant as Manager, Video Production.  

You will join the Marketing and Communications Team which is responsible for creating and developing an array of marketing communications initiatives to attract and retain foreign direct investment into Hong Kong.  Through working with colleagues across InvestHK, stakeholders and business partners, this is an excellent opportunity for you to produce meaningful video content amidst the rapidly evolving marketing and events landscape.  You are expected to produce a broad range of videos, including thought leadership interviews, bite-sized or short form videos from case studies to virtual events and to re-purpose these videos for digital and social media platforms.

You will need to demonstrate: 
•    proven experience in video production from script writing, design to editing;
•    sound track record in marketing videos on different social media platforms;
•    good interpersonal and co-ordination skills; and
•    strong sense of business acumen.

(i)    To develop and execute new video ideas ranging from thought leadership interviews, case studies and events, etc.;
(ii)    To research, direct, write and edit video stories;
(iii)    To oversee all pre- and post-production, including script writing and subtitling, and to re-purpose the videos for different platforms;
(iv)    To manage multiple client facing video projects at the same time; 
(v)    To stay abreast of new video content trends, analytics, styles and platforms; and
(vi)    To undertake any other duties as assigned.

Entry Requirements
(a)    A minimum of three years of relevant full-time work experience in video and social media marketing.  Familiarity with and experience of various video production formats for mobile and social media platforms including square, vertical and 360 video;
(b)    A good knowledge of the latest business environment in Hong Kong and the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA);
(c)    A Bachelor’s degree from a Hong Kong university, or equivalent, preferably in marketing, communications, journalism or a related field; and
(d)    A strong command of written English and Chinese, as well as spoken English, Putonghua and Cantonese.  Proficiency in another language would be an advantage.

Terms of Appointment 
Successful applicant will be appointed on non-civil service contract terms for normally 24 months.  Renewal of contract will be subject to the service need of the department and the performance and conduct of the applicant.

Fringe Benefits
(a)    An end-of-contract gratuity may be granted upon satisfactory completion of the contract.  Such gratuity, if granted, plus any contribution made by the Government to a Mandatory Provident Fund (MPF) scheme in respect of the appointee as required by the MPF Schemes Ordinance, will equal 15% of the total basic salary drawn during the contract period; and
(b)    Applicant appointed will be granted 14 days of annual leave.  Other benefits, such as rest days, statutory holidays (or substituted holidays), maternity/ paternity leave, sickness allowance, where appropriate, will be granted mainly in line with the provisions of the Hong Kong Employment Ordinance.
